You couldn’t find two nicer people than Sam and Thomas. Though I haven’t known them long they’re the kind of people that feel like instant friends. I first met Sam at Amanda and Stephen’s wedding last summer. I was photographing last summer when she came over while I was shooting details and asked if I need anything and brought me water. The more time I spend around these two and after listening to toasts from family and friends I’ve realized that’s just the kind of people these two are. They even helped dig my car out when we got stuck in the snow while taking their engagement photos!
It was at the same wedding that Thomas first approached me about taking their wedding photos. They weren’t even engaged yet, but Thomas told me all about his plans to propose to Sam that fall and wanted to make sure I’d be available to photograph their wedding the following summer. I just remember how excited he was about his plans to propose and start his life with Sam, so it was really fun to see everything fall perfectly into place.
This wedding was extra special for me because my brother, Nate, and my sister-in-law, Steph, were the best man and maid of honor. My brother married them and did a fantastic job. My parents were in attendance (I seriously need to hire them as my assistants; they’re such a big help to me when I’m photographing a wedding!) as well as Nate’s in-laws, so it felt like a big family party.
Sam and Thomas – I’m so excited for you to continue your lives together! Thank you for letting me be a part of your day. It was an honor.
Love,
Amanda
