Not only is Allie beautiful, but she is genuine and kind and after meeting her family I can see why. Everyone I met was so nice. You can tell that they all have a special connection. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much fun shooting family photos. Their laughs and smiles made my job so much easier!
This was such a special wedding for me to be able to photograph. I’ve known Allie for the last four years and really got to know her when we taught first grade together. She often talked about Matt and what a great guy he was. I didn’t meet Matt until Matt and Allie’s engagement session this winter, but when I did it was so apparent that these two are a great couple. They are the dream couple to photograph. They have so much fun together and you can just see the joy these two bring to each other’s lives.
Craig and Trese, Allie’s parents hosted the wedding at their family property. It was the PERFECT place to have a wedding and everything turned out beautifully. I loved that so much love was poured into their details from their family. This wedding was truly a family affair! Allie’s veil was given to her by her sister, Mackenzie. They’re starting a tradition of having a traveling veil which will be really special for their family. Allie’s bracelet, the Winchester Bracelet, comes from Matt’s hometown of Winchester, Virginia. Matt made the arbor that they got married under, the dessert tables, and the table numbers for the reception. The wedding favor was homemade raspberry jam from Matt’s dad, John’s, garden and the signature cocktail was Bourbon Slush, a Round’s Family Secret Recipe (I had to take a taste while doing detail shots and it was amazing).
